Against Your Will
“You wake up in an unfamiliar place with a foggy memory of how you got here. You recognize some familiar faces, but not your surroundings. You slowly discover you have been taken against your will to test your smarts and see if you have what it takes to be a part of some sort of “Intelligence Cleansing”. Someone thinks this world is falling apart and blames the unintelligent. One thing is for certain, whoever this sicko is, they have done this before and they aren’t playing games! Escape with your freedom or end up in the torture room.”
We have not yet completed a review of Against Your Will at Escape Room Barrie in Barrie. We hope to experience this room soon.

Against Your Will is still running at Escape Room Barrie, and Morty lists it as a hard game. Feedback is positive, though there isn’t a lot of detailed commentary about this room specifically.
An experienced player on Morty loved the theming and the non-linear layout, which lets a team split up or switch to another puzzle when one has them stuck. A player on Reddit admitted their family didn’t escape in time but said they had a very good time “being frustrated” and planned to come back for the other rooms. A TripAdvisor reviewer playing their first escape room with a group of five called it well thought out and left wanting to do another.
We didn’t find any real complaints about this room. The main things to know are that it’s challenging, so you may not make it out in time, and the kidnapping theme is spooky enough that the venue says it isn’t for kids under 8. Difficulty is in the eye of the beholder, though: the same Morty player found it moderate compared with the venue’s other rooms.
