What others are saying

Boom Room was Room Escape Ottawa’s first game, a bunker mission to stop Dr. Boom. Reviewers on Morty and the Escape Reviewer and We Try To Escape blogs see it as a solid, classic-style room.

Escape Reviewer liked the war-time atmosphere, excellent sound system and carefully crafted, logical puzzles with few red herrings. We Try To Escape enjoyed the multiple large, realistic rooms and a creative multi-step puzzle, calling it family-friendly. On Morty, several reviewers describe it as a satisfying feel-good room with simple but clever puzzles.

Many Morty reviewers consider it first-generation and lock-heavy, with a big space that could use more set dressing, and a tier below the venue’s newer rooms. A few complain about inattentive game mastering, and one about a padlock left unlocked and a malfunctioning mechanism. Escape Reviewer warned that missing one early item can make the rest much harder, and We Try To Escape found the scenario generic.
