Sven's Last Secret

Everyone growing up around Smooth Rock Falls, Ontario, had heard the stories about the old, eccentric Norwegian prospector named Sven Peterson who lived deep in the woods outside town. Rumour has it the old hermit had secretly squirreled away the deed to his claim and a map to where it is located, so you and your friends decide to travel out to the old derelict cabin and nose around.

What others are saying

Sven’s Last Secret is one of Deerhurst Resort’s original Muskoka-themed escape cabins, set in an old prospector’s cabin where teams hunt for a hidden claim deed and map. It is well liked, especially by families and first-time players.

Google reviewers call it a lot of fun with a good level of challenge, and several first-timers said it left them planning a return visit to try another cabin. Families with kids from about five to twelve said everyone got to help solve clues, and reviewers point to friendly, helpful hosts and a few surprises and unique elements they hadn’t seen in other rooms. A Tripadvisor reviewer likewise called Sven’s cabin a wonderful introduction for the first-timers in their group.

Reviewers have few complaints about this room specifically, though with most feedback coming from families and newcomers, there’s little to go on for how it plays for seasoned enthusiasts.
