What others are saying
The Cabin is one of Countdown Escape Rooms’ longest-running games: a horror-tinged room in which players hide from a menacing mountain man in the woods. Reviews are warm, although most of the written feedback dates from 2016 to 2018.
Tripadvisor reviewers call it imaginative and well thought out, and challenging enough that groups who took hints still needed the full hour. One player said it does a great job of making you feel you’re in danger, with a real sense that time is running out. Another, a self-described chicken, said the full scare option was just the right amount. Families with a wide range of ages enjoyed it, and reviewers praise the friendly, helpful staff. The local blog TBay with Kids called it the scariest of the Countdown rooms they tried.
The complaints are minor. One group waited about 10 minutes for a hint with no one answering, and a group of seven found it hard to communicate and follow the story with that many people. Players who don’t like being spooked may want one of the venue’s tamer rooms.
