The Dragon's Song

Hear me, for I have a tale of great import to share with thee. The people of this land believe that the dragons have perished from this world, but we of the Avalon Alchemist’s Society know the truth. In a castle tower in a faraway land named Avalon, we have kept hidden the last dragon egg, long lost to the eyes of mortals. But our time is nigh, for we have foreseen a hero like thee, one who will find the egg, learn the ancient Dragon’s Song, and thus save these majestic creatures from certain doom.

What others are saying

The Dragon’s Song is still running in Casa Loma’s Scottish Tower, and it’s one of the most praised games in the Casa Loma lineup. The Room Escape Artist blog called it a must-play for history buffs, scenery lovers and fans of immersive entertainment, and it received their Golden Lock Award.

The actors are the standout in almost every review we read. Room Escape Artist and a Yelp reviewer describe them as funny and quick on their feet, and TripAdvisor reviewers called them fantastic and a big part of the fun. People also rave about the detailed props and sets, and Room Escape Artist liked the simple but satisfying story and its well-clued finale. Families seem especially happy: reviewers on TripAdvisor and Yelp describe groups with kids and grandparents all staying involved, kids finding it not scary at all, and some players saying it spoiled other escape rooms for them. The Geek Life blog suggested it as a great choice for a first escape room.

On the downside, Room Escape Artist felt several puzzles dragged on longer than they needed to, a piece of clunky tech slowed their team down, and the volume of puzzles sometimes rushed them past the setting. Expect a lot of stairs, including narrow spiral staircases. A Yelp reviewer warned that some spaces are tight for taller or larger people, and Geek Life notes this part of the castle isn’t wheelchair accessible. A TripAdvisor reviewer passed along warnings that the tower can get hot in summer and pointed out there are no washrooms once the game starts. It’s also pricier than a typical escape room, although reviewers generally felt it was worth it.
