Ninja
You have been training for years under Master Fuma Kotaro. To assess your abilities, Master Kotaro hid some meaningful belongings in the Dojo. For this final test, you will need to work as a team and solve the Master’s puzzles. You have 60 minutes to find your ninja headbands and become full Shinobis.
We have not yet completed a review of Ninja at Roundabout Canada. We hope to experience this room soon.
What others are saying
The Ninja (as Roundabout calls it) is often praised for its original theme. That said, the reliability of its physical puzzles comes up again and again.
People love the theme. The We Try to Escape blog said it’s rarely seen elsewhere and enjoyed small touches like taking your shoes off before entering the dojo, and warnings written to fit the story instead of big “do not touch” signs. A TripAdvisor reviewer said the room fully embraces its theme and has fun physical puzzles. Players on the Morty app called the dojo well themed and the puzzles creative.
The downside is that those physical and mechanical pieces can be finicky. Several Morty players said they knew what to do but couldn’t get a device to cooperate, and some older reviews describe solved puzzles not working until the game master stepped in. We Try to Escape found it a little short: it’s linear, mostly one regular-sized room plus a tiny second space, and some objects were damaged. One player also found it harder to tell which tasks were connected without traditional locks.
