Forced to make an emergency landing, you and your crew find yourselves on a distant planet populated entirely by robots! All you want is to repair your spaceship and be on your way, but that won’t be easy so long as the evil robot Zybar rules. Can you restore peace and prosperity for the robots? Or will you be stranded in space?”
We have not yet completed a review of Robotcalypse at Omescape in Markham. We hope to experience this room soon.

Omescape now operates as Omventure, and Robotcalypse is still running in Markham as one of its longer games. It’s one of the better-received rooms at the location, and a few players call it a personal favourite, though others say it’s good rather than great.
Players consistently praise the big, impressive sets. The We Try To Escape blog found the robots realistic and the space huge, and Morty reviewers liked how different each area feels. Some enjoyed the video-game or arcade feel and the ambitious finale, and one thought it would work especially well for families.
The common complaints are about pacing and reliability. One Morty reviewer felt the opening section drags with repetitive parts, another felt some puzzles were repeated too often, and some ran into tech problems, dark areas and muffled audio. We Try To Escape disliked the task-based puzzles in the first room, an unclear audio clue, and a long puzzle only one person could work on. A couple of players found the game masters inattentive, and the style of the ending isn’t for everyone.
